Five Great Tips for the Best Baby Nursery Decor

Your baby’s nursery will obviously be one of the first places your baby receives sensory signals and is likely to spend almost the entire first few months between sleeping and quiet alertness. Obviously you should provide your baby with a calm and soothing environment but also provide some motivation for her brain to grow and develop. Using these five quick steps will make your baby’s nursery outstanding.
    Tip 1; Finding the Serrenity
The basic theme of any baby nursery should be of a calm and serene nature. Babies will thrive in any environment that is calm and serene, allowing them to relax into the environment around them and observe. Select colours that are good for a serene atmosphere, like cool greens, browns and blues. You may also consider other pastels, like purples, pinks and mauves for the desired effect.
    Tip 2: Your Childs Sex
In knowing the sex of your baby, think of the images you want to influence that child with. Whilst it is common for people to gravitate towards blue for boys and pink for girls, today’s bedding is all about baby chic. There a lots of wonderful bright colours and patterns to choose from to help you design a gorgeous nursery you’ll want to show off to all your friends. Bright colours and patterns will also spur development in baby’s brain
Tip 3: Understand How Your Child’s Brain Develops
The brains of babies and infants is continually growing and developing. Much of the brain growth in a child happens before age two, therefore babyhood and toddlerhood are important times in any childs life. Other than black and white, red is the first colour your baby can see. We suggest using strong, bright colours to encourage brain stimulation and confidence. Something else to consider is the theme of animal or image that a child may identify as it grows.
Tip 4: Use a Transitional Theme
To avoid repainting and decorating your baby’s nursery when they move into toddlerhood and beyond, you can choose a theme, which will transition well. When decorating with baby animal jungle themes, paint your walls a soft green or brown as it will transition to a different theme much better than themed wallpaper or murals.
Tip 5: Choose Accessories that Mean Something
Any assceccories in your nursery should be considered carefully as you don’t wan’t them to be hazzardous when your baby becomes mobile and active. Try using items that are functional in the colour or pattern of your baby’s nursery instead of choosing them just because they fit. This may include a wall mounted diaper holder, a pretty lotion dispenser to sit atop the changing table or dresser or even a hamper or toy box that will transition well as they grow.
