Meaning Of Pre Diabetic Diet
If you have diabetes then you often have to worry about taking a diet fat loss supplement to maintain your weight and there is even the pre diabetic diet that you can go on, which is for people who have pre diabetes. Pre diabetes is a condition that is just what it sounds like, it is a condition that takes place before the actual diabetes development in the body.
Pre diabetes, more often times than not, actually does end up leading to an actual diabetes condition, and this is why you need to take it so seriously right from the start and do everything that your doctor tells you to do in order to hopefully avoid developing diabetes, and this includes going on a pre diabetes diet.
The Basics of Pre Diabetic Diet
So for your pre diabetic diet there are certain foods that you should be eating and certain foods that you should be avoiding altogether. For the pre diabetic diet fresh fruits and vegetables are very important. You want to make sure that you are getting at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day, to get that protein and those vitamins that fruits and veggies are rich in.
Then you also want to make sure that you are including whole grain cereals and breads in your diet, because these are going to provide you with protein, iron and bran. Water is always important, and your doctor will not stress enough how very important it is going to be if you have diabetes to make sure that you are always hydrated.
Depending on the type of diabetes that you have, you may have low or high blood sugar levels, you are going to have to discuss this with your doctor and they are going to talk to you about how to keep your blood sugar levels balanced. You do what you can with a pre diabetes diet, but if they find that you are still progressing and developing diabetes type 1 or type 2, then they are probably going to take further steps.
There are some people who follow their diet correctly and who begin working out more often, and who are actually able to deter the diabetes conditionfrom developing. Although one must take care of himself for the rest of the life because the pre diabetes will never end.
Can a Diabetic get a free glucose meter and do they need it?
Someone who is unable to produce enough insulin or no insulin is someone who has diabetes, and they are having this problem which requires them to use a monitor and control blood sugars by themself. Firstly, there are two types of people with diabetes – Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. Having injections using needles is the main way a person with Type 1 Diabetes controls and lowers their sugar levels. Type 2 Diabetics are able to control their blood sugars by pills and excercise alone, although they do sometimes need to use Insulin as well when the sugar gets out of control. A doctor will properly diagnose which type of diabetes you have and how you should control it.
So now we know that a diabetic needs to control their sugar levels. To find out what level their blood sugars are at, whether high or low, a diabetic uses a glucometer to get a blood sugar reading. Work coverage may help you get a free glucometer if you cannot afford to buy it yourself after finding out you have diabetes. The way a glucose meter works is that the person testing their sugar levels pricks their finger with a lancet device. This basically draws a small drop of blood from the person fingers so the levels can be measured. Then the diabetic would put a blood strip into the meter, and put the drop of blood on the strip. Normally in about five seconds, or even up to a minute depending on the meter, you will get a reading telling you what your sugar levels are at.
The glucose meter is essential for a diabetic to own so they can test regularly. If you don’t test your blood sugars, problems can occur if an incorrect dosage of their medication is given including low sugars and seizures. With the price on meters nowadays it has definately got more affordable. You may also find certain brands offering you a free glucometer if you buy the accompanying test strips. Since many manufacturers make most of the money from the strips purchase, you get that added incentive of a free monitor to be used with their strips. Some more information for finding a free glucometer can be found at http://www.freeglucometer.info/.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates 431 BC
Diet pollution: Cupcakes, sugared cereals, chips and diet sodas are all vegetarian but don’t nourish anyone no matter what their biochemical requirements may be. Eventually the nutritional deficiency will symptomatically show up in a doctor’s office. With a younger body the ability to cleanse dead calories is not so much an issue. However, when you enter your 40s and beyond, the body doesn’t have the energy to function, optimally, where it is difficult to process poor nutritional material. As a result, all kinds of digestive problems surface in overweight problems, digestive disease and pain, diabetes, joint pain, insomnia, heart disease, etc.
Eating excessive amounts of dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, ice cream) can generate iron insufficiency. Meat and by products hold very small quantities of iron and they, furthermore, obstructs iron absorption even when fortified. Compare this with kale that has more than 14 times the iron of trimmed steak. The conviction that meat and its related products is the superior source for protein strength can digestively take up the volume where you would absorb vegetables, grains, fruits and seeds which are especially higher in general nutrition. Yet, we are taught in grade school that milk is “nature’s most perfect food”, provided as a courtesy from the National Dairy Council.
Diabetes Research: Dr. Inder Singh took 80 diabetics patients and restricted their diet (low fat, 20- 30 grams a day, no sugar). Within 6 weeks, over 60% of the patients no longer needed insulin. In due course, the proportion progressively increased with insulin requirements lessening. Numerous similar studies have duplicated the results.
“Too much of a Good Thing”
Throughout most history, people usually have eaten whatever they chose. Researching around the world, scientists have found that shortened life expectancy can be clearly correlated to the eating of flesh. Russian Kurgi, Greenlanders, Eskimos and the Laplanders consume the most flesh in the world at the same time having the lowest life expectancy of 30 years. This shortened duration is not due entirely to their severe environment. Comparable environments endured by other peoples with a diet of little or no meat affords for longer life. 90 -100 years life expectancy is not unusual for Pakistan Hunzakuts, East Indian Todas, Yucatan Indians and a surprisingly large group of Russian Caucasians.
Here we are in the United States with the highest degree of medical technology in the world, the most moderate climate, the largest purchaser of animal meat and meat by-products while at the same time maintaining one of the lowest life expectancies of all industrialized nations.
Researchers tracking cultures living the longest have found that its not unusual for these peoples to live a life of quality. Work and recreation beyond 80 years is usual. A majority, attain 100 years remaining active and honored by all they live with. Absence of excess protein produces a slender, densely built frame.

THE CONSEQUENCE ON THE HUMAN BODY WHEN EATING A TOXIC DIET
Liver heat: When one ingests foods that disrupt the body’s balance then there is always a negative result. Prolong the pattern of toxic food and a syndrome with the potential for irreversability may follow. When you consume red meat, your liver increases its temperature by 5 degrees. The liver heats up the meat fats and dense material in order to break it down so the digestive system can provide absorption of its nutrients. Where with vegetables, the temperature of the liver does not elevate. The temperature increase of the liver has a pattern of disturbance to all organs.
Heat rises, cold lowers. When the liver heat rises through the body then the heat noticeably influences all the organs above it -

How To Keep Yourself Away From Diabetes By Taking Pre Diabetes Diet
You can use a diabetes control diet for once you have already developed the disease, but did you know that you can go on a pre diabetes diet which is going to help prevent you from developing the disease in the first place? What is Pre Diabetes Diet?
Pre diabetes is basically a condition that doctors consider when people have higher than normal blood sugar levels so when they are pretty much on their way to having diabetes but not yet. This is why getting on a diabetes diet plan is so important, and especially pre diabetes diet is going to be so important to you here.
You need to know that for this diet you are going to have to set goals for fat and calorie consumption which means that you figure out what you weigh and then work with this to figure out how many calories a day you should be consuming. Legumes for instance are a great source of protein and are important to include in your diet if you want to avoid getting diabetes. You must take fresh fruits in your diet just make sure that you eat them regularly but not too often because they will increase your blood sugar levels.
Diabetic Diet Sheet: What Does This Mean?
So you know that you have diabetes and now you just need some help learning how to deal with it. Well you should not feel alone, because there are millions of other people around the world right now who are suffering from the very same condition and who are feeling lost and alone just like you.
Diabetes is a very strange and very difficult condition to deal with. There are two different types of diabetes that a person can develop but in either case you are going to need to make sure that you understand the severity of this condition and that you are going to be doing everything that you need to in order to make sure that you are in good health and that you are taking proper care of yourself.
More than anything this means that you should be incorporating a diabetic diet sheet into your routine and finding diabetic diet recipes that are not only going to be healthy for you, but which you are actually going to enjoy. The various recipes are there to choose from and they can be mixed up and added in the ingredients according to the person’s need.
Diabetic Diet Sheet?
Some people with diabetes are not sure of what a diabetic diet sheet is. Well although you don’t have to have a diabetic diet sheet, it is a really good idea. With this sheet you are basically going to be keeping track of what you are eating, so that you can take note of your condition along with that and see when you are doing well, and when you are not.
By doing this, you are going to be able to notice any patterns, and connect this with your diet. A lot of diabetics do not realize it, but the foods that they are eating have a tremendous effect on their condition overall and they can actually even end up killing themselves if they are not eating healthily and not eating the foods that they are supposed to be.
You can talk to your doctor more about this diabetic diet sheet and they will be able to relate it personally to your situation which is very important. Diabetics are always different from each other and so it cannot just be assumed that everyone is the same and everyone needs to be dealt with the same, because that is just not the case at all.
Want To Find Your Way Back From Diabetes? Then You Need To Find New Solutions! Face It, Conventional Medicine Would Have You Dependent Forever On Drugs! Here Are Answers And Changes Needed!
HIGH BLOOD SUGAR IS AN INDICATION OF A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM
POPULAR UNDERSTANDING:
Diabetics do not make enough insulin or the body does not use all the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone that assists the production of glucose (sugar) to be absorbed into cells and then converted to energy. The pancreas emits enzymes that aid carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism. Once the pancreas is non-performing then digestive enzymes are not supplied for digestion. The condition imbalances the liver, gall bladder, spleen and all digestive related organs. In unmanaged diabetes, glucose and fats remain in the blood stream, where with time, the primary body's digestive organs become impaired and eventually diseased.
DIABETIC STATISTICS:
- Seventeen million Americans are walking around with diabetes, and 200,000 people will die this year due to related complications. Diabetes sets up conditions for heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, leg and foot amputations, pregnancy complications, and deaths related to flu and pneumonia. At risk, are the 5.9 million Americans who are unaware that they have the condition.
- We spend $100 Billion a year on diabetes, directly and indirectly. In 1997, the normal health care outlay for someone with diabetes was ,071, contrasted with ,699 for an individual without diabetes.
- U.S. adults with diabetes increased 49% from 1990 to 2000. Increases are expected in the next decade and beyond.
- Diabetes is an epidemic. In 1990, there were only 4 U.S. states determined to be at epidemic levels. In 1995, that number increased to 11. In 2000, there were only 6 states that were not at epidemic levels.
What happened to the other 44 states in 10 years? What is occuring in our country where a disease can over run us. Secretly, we are being plague by a force superior to any terrorist group. Is there anyone seeing what is truely happening? That’s more than 15 million plus people caught in the grips of this top level threat to our country. Where’s the equal level response by our government and medical establishment?
UNDERLYING CAUSATION
While insulin production and all the relevant symptoms in the body is a concern, to rest here and just declare the pancreas is the source of the ailment is not enough. Its a key element but not the whole. Some other factors:
Diet & Elimination: While diet plays another primary role in the story, reducing protein, carbs and sugar, soundly, helps but there is more to the setting that needs to be acknowledged. The nourishment value of our food is less nutritious. Our U.S. sources have depleted the soil quality. Rather than re-establishing our soil with our elimination similar to other long life zones, the U.S. drains its precious elimination down the sewage lines to the oceans. As a result we have to look to natural sources of foods and diabetic herbs.
Life stressors: Stress wears down the life force. Are we experiencing more stress than our parents? Hard to say. They experienced World War II while we have been presented ever increasing unlabelled wars, entertainment channels, manmade diseases, taxes, etc. If, we try to live up to expectations and not restore ourselves (body, mind, spirit) then our adrenals-kidneys will become depleted which is the home of our vital energy production. The consequence is that all of our body organs do not have the vitality to maintain.Consequently, when organs do not perform their functions and call for restoration, not separately but systemically prior to additional non-understood illnesses present.
Character: Our ability to interpret, positively or negatively, may have a lot to say about our ability to manage personal conflict. If we see things positively then our perceptions and response is that we are challenged and figure out solutions. Once negative, then positive options may be overlooked because we are overwhelmed by fear. That high level of anxiety speeds up aging, perpetuates fear and opens the door to an unprotected immunity. We need to learn or relearn how find courage during stressful times. As we believe, we perceive, so shall our life follow.

Success In My Story
One day I went to the store to buy grahams and creams. I was then going to make a ref cake for my brother who’s about to arrive from Australia. Oh my God, I was really excited then, with all the preparations made, I was so sure that he’s going to appreciate all of these.
When he was already there in the venue, as expected, he became so happy about the welcome I prepared for him. Because of his illness, the served foods were not that appreciated. I then understood the side of my brother. He has a diabetes and high blood pressure as well as hypertension.
If he is not going to lose weight within two weeks, he will undergo liposuction. My brother does not want to undergo liposuction because he is sort of afraid of the medicines and all the apparatus to be used. Because of this, I recommended to that brother of mine the use of two exercising equipments which were of great help to me. I was then able to lose 10 inches in 5 months. This was due to me spending hours on learning and applying the best way to lose tummy fat as quickly as possible. My friend taught me a workout on the small exercise ball and when I used it in a consistent manner, I was able to get rid of all those fats. Now, my brother is a little confident that in two more days, he’s already going to feel the improvements.
The situp equipment that I used was then lended to my brother and some of his friends. But because of so much use, the equipment is now torn down and I need to go out and get some new exercise equipment soon.
The Five Fatal Diseases
The fact is there are 5 diseases that are fatal to humans, the first one is heart attack, the second is cancer, then stroke, lung disease and last but moving up fast in the list is diabetes. The fatal five share two common elements, Free-radicals and inflammation. Free-radicals are molecules or atoms that are missing an electron, the free-radicals attack any healthy cells they come in contact with and steal an electron causing damage to the cell membrane. Inflammation is a process that is intended to help our body heal but in the case of disease, free-radicals cause deformities or mutations in the cells, the inflammation can not repair the damage so it actually begins to feed the now deformed or mutated cells. Let us take a closer look at all five of these fatal diseases.
Clots in the arteries cause 80% of all heart attacks and 83% of all strokes. The most common cause is a condition called Atherosclerosis or “hardening of the arteries”. This is were a build up of plaque which has a hard surface inside your artery has cracked and the platelets that are designed to clot in order to protect us from bleeding to death, end up clotting over the crack and cause a complete blockage of blood flow. In the case of heart attack the blockage is near the heart and in the case of stroke the blockage cuts off the supply of blood to the brain. When it comes to heart disease, the free-radicals attack cholesterol cells in the blood supply deforming them which in turn makes them sticky; now you have bad LDL which collects and sticks to the artery walls. Inflammation dose not play a major roll in heart attacks and stoke but scientists are calling chronic inflammation a silent killer in a vast majority of diseases and illnesses.
In the year 2005, the number of people who died due to cancer is estimated to be around 570,280. It seems that the overall death rate is on the decline for some types of cancers, but there are others on the rise, such as esophageal, liver and thyroid cancers. The root cause of ALL forms of cancer is free-radicals damaging our DNA.DNA holds the blue print for all the cells that is created by it. This blue print is who you are; when the free-radicals attack the DNA the blue print becomes mutated and when the new cell is produced with this new blue print you have a cancer cell. You do not have cancer until the inflammation process begins; inflammation is the bodies’ defense against illness or injury. Inflammation tries to destroy the cells that it dose not recognize as being you, the inflammation loses this fight yet our bodies keep sending more, causing chronic inflammation. At this point the cancer cells start to feed on the inflammation cells and cancer growth begins.
More than 35 million Americans have chronic lung diseases. Every year over 349,000 people die from lung disease – a death rate of 121.4 per 100,000. The lungs are far more complex than other organs in the body. The lungs have various minor rolls to play and three major ones; they are defenders of intruders, they remove waste and toxins from the blood, and their main purpose is to supply oxygen to the blood. There are more than three dozen different types of cells inside the lungs and they all have very specific tasks to accomplish. Our lungs are battling constantly with the world outside with each breath that we inhale. If the lung function gets impaired in anyway – you may acquire a potentially fatal lung disease. Lung diseases such as asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis (CF), pneumonia, sarcoidosis, and many more can be fatal. In the case of lung diseases, free-radicals are coming in from the outside world in all forms of pollution; this creates inflammation which causes the obstruction of air flow.
Millions of Americans have type 2 diabetes; millions more have it and are not yet aware of it. Diabetes refers to the inability to utilise the sugar called glucose. Glucose is created when the body breaks down food for energy. The hormone insulin opens up the bodies’ cells to allow glucose to enter into the cell and be used as fuel. In diabetes the cell never opens up and the glucose flows through the blood stream causing high blood sugar levels. With diabetes the body either dose not make enough insulin or is resistant to its own natural insulin. High blood sugar can lead to very serious complications such as heart disease, kidney and eye disease and other problems like nerve damage and death. Heart disease is the leading cause of premature death in people with diabetes. Diabetes is the major cause of leg and foot amputations in Americans today. Infections are much harder to control in people with diabetes, they are at greater risk of complications and death due to infection. It is excessive body fat which happens to be the number one risk for type two diabetes! Diabetes is on the rise; Americans are eating poorly and are lacking physical activity. Free-radicals are very active in a person with diabetes, attacking a number of cells because diabetes causes an abnormal immune function. Free-radicals are the reason you see so many different complications or side illnesses in this disease. Chronic inflammation is also a major player with this disease and in the side illnesses. All of the above diseases need medications to help regulate the disease but you need to know this, medications cause free-radical damage, and this damage is called side effects. All medications can cause side effects.
Let us focus on free-radicals and inflammation and the way they act.
If you have a room with ten 2 year old children; they only have one toy in the room; can you imagine the mayhem; nine children trying to steal the toy from one child. Do you think that one child has a chance? This is what free-radicals do to a cell. Now you have the parents come into the room and try to comfort the children who are without toys. The children are crying and throwing fits and are impossible to calm down, you’ll do anything, usually offer them cookies or some other sweet treat. This is only a momentary fix; you would have to keep feeding them to keep them calm. This is inflammation. But if you have ten more children enter the room all with an extra toy to share with the others; it becomes peaceful and everyone is happy. This is what anti-oxidants do.
You have the power to take your health into your own hands and put a stop to the damage now. Anti-oxidants help the body fight against free-radicals, anti-oxidants are a molecule or atom that has an extra electron. It gives this extra electron away and in turn the free-radical stops attacking healthy cells. Science has proven that ALL diseases and illnesses are caused by free-radical damage. There are risk factors for all diseases but free-radicals are the source and cause of major complications. Free-radicals can not be avoided; they are in air and water pollution, in the junk foods we eat, and caused by traumas and injuries. Free-radicals are a part of life; they even affect the aging process itself.
Anti-oxidants are essential for health, plants contain about 1,000 to 1,500 anti-oxidants, a diet of fruits and vegetables is essential, supplements are key, vitamins and minerals contain high numbers of anti-oxidants. You need to do some research and try to find fresh supplements; they tend to lose their potency the longer they sit on the self. There are also super charged, super powerful anti-oxidants in nature called Xanthones. Xanthones have the power to defeat a larger number of free-radicals at one time, due to strong carbon bonds that make the molecule stable. Each Xanthone performs a specific biological function inside the body unlike regular anti-oxidants.
It is sad that most people save for retirement their entire adult life without realizing that possible future medical expenses can destroy any plans that they may have. By understanding your health requirements and the part that nutrition plays in that, you can greatly improve your quality of life into your retirement years.

Diagnosing A Sign of Diabetes
Although urine and fingerprick tests can reveal a higher than normal blood glucose level, you still need to undergo at least one blood tests done in a laboratory to be completely sure either way: the 2 main tests are the blood glucose test after fasting together with an oral blood sugar test. Your diagnosis is based on your test results and your symptoms. Where you think diabetes is the issue but have no symptoms, there will need to be more tests over the following days.
Diagnosing Symptoms Of Diabetes
Diabetes must be diagnosed by a blood test in which a blood sample is analyzed in a laboratory. It’s normally a lot easier and faster to diagnose type 1 diabetes than it is type 2, because type 1 symptoms occur a lot quicker and are more severe. It is generally identified as type 2 when health checks in other areas identify a premature sign of diabetes or similar issues. One case study is when problems with your eyes that get detected during an eye test.
Confirmation of your diabetes will be undeniably diagnosed with several blood based diabetes test: an impromptu blood test, a fasting blood glucose test, and an oral glucose tolerance test. Tests such as fingerprick and urine tests are unable, to provide conclusive evidence, to corroborate that you have diabetes.
If your fasting blood glucose level is 6-7 millimoles per liter, your blood glucose levels are higher than they should be, but not high enough for diabetes to be diagnosed. The local health care provider will explain what your test results mean and what they mean for your future health.
Where Do You Go From Here
One of the main aims of diabetes care is to prevent long-term complications, so not long after your diagnosis is confirmed, you’ll undergo regular checkups and tests so that you health can be monitored and to make sure your diabetes is under control. Your test results form the starting point for your yearly check-up, which will be referred to as your annual review date. If any potential issues are highlighted at your review, you will be referred for the appropriate type 2 diabetes diet plan meal planner.
Your BMI and Diabetes
Being diagnosed with diabetes means you need to manage your Body Mass Index or BMI. Your BMI shows whether or not you are overweight for your height.
Type 2 Diabetes and Blood Pressure
A common symptom of type 2 diabetes is high blood pressure. If you constantly have high blood pressure, you will be prescribed medication to lower it.
Foot Examination
The health professional checks your foot circulation and nerve supply and teaches you how to look after your own feet.
Testing Your Eyes
They look for blood vessel damage behind your eye using either a special eye camera or an ophthalmoscope.
The Other Tests
More blood samples are tested to verify that your liver, thyroid and kidneys are healthy, and your blood fat ratio is healthy. They will then do a HbA1c test which will determine what your blood sugar levels were over the previous six to eight weeks. A urine test will also check your body’s protein levels as too much protein could denote some kidney issues.
Beware The Silent Epidemic…
A lot of people have been wondering, why did the Surgeon General label gum disease as a ’silent epidemic’ a while back? It is something we all need to wonder about, so that we can inform ourselves about the issue. Gum disease can lead to serious health problems. It could be related to problems which can ultimately result in death. There is absolutely no reason to take that kind of risk where your health is concerned.
So, why is gum disease considered a silent epidemic? It is not just because it can cause you to lose your teeth. It is not just because it can lead to heart disease. It is not just because gum disease has even been linked to certain types of cancer and other potentially fatal conditions and problems.
This is a silent epidemic because so many people have it without even realizing it. It is a silent epidemic because the symptoms are so innocuous in the beginning that it is far too easy for people to ignore them.
It is thus imperative that you go to great pains to take care of yourself and your teeth. Naturally, twice yearly checkups with your dentist are a must. Your dentist will be able to identify and diagnose gum disease in some of its earliest stages, when it is still reversible – but only if he or she has the chance. If you do not visit your dentist, your dentist cannot help you.
Perio Therapy is a brand of mouthwash that utlizes the power of oxygen to help kill the bacteria that can cause bad breath and gum disease.
You also have some responsibility yourself. You should consider the need to brush your teeth at least twice a day, especially after meals. You may need to consider flossing. The use of an oral irrigator would not hurt either. A lot of people underestimate the importance of flossing. However, it is a strong weapon in the battle against gum disease.
How can you tell if you might have gum disease? First, check for blood when you brush and floss. That can be the first sign of gingivitis. Red gums, swollen gums, and sore, tender gums are signs as well.
This article is for informational purposes only. If you have gum disease or any other health condition, please visit your periodontist or physician for proper advice, diagnosis and treatment.
