My Muscle Building Workout Program

4-Week Muscle Building Program

Weeks 1 – 4

Start your muscle building program by working out four days a week. We will be doing two exercises per body part and we will be doing four sets per exercise. The amount of reps you will be doing for each exercise will look like this; 15, 12, 10 and 8. To warm up your muscles you need to do a warm up set first, this will not only get the blood flowing to the muscles it will also help you to learn proper weight control.

It is ok to use very light weight on the first set. This set is only for warm ups. The next three sets you will increase the weight you are using each time until you can perform only the amount of reps recommended. We are not going to failure at this point so make sure that when you have completed the last rep you still could do another one.

There are many customized workout programs that you can use to help you to get big and ripped.

There are muscle building programs that use the full body workout system three times a week. Although this is certainly one thing you could do, to minimize the potential for injury I would like to see you reduce the amount of body parts you workout each day. It will be difficult to effectively workout your muscles if you don’t use the right focus that they need to grow larger and get ripped. Stay focused on one group of muscles at a time.

Sample Body Building Program

Four sets of 15, 12, 10 and 8 reps

Monday:  Chest
Bench Press
Dips

Include these two exercises for an effective total chest workout. They will also workout your arms and your core stabilizing muscles. Compound exercises are designed to give you a full body workout.

Tuesday: Legs

Squats
Lunges

Squats are a good way to build overall body mass, increase the amount of oxygen you absorb and will also help your body to release it’s natural production of growth producing hormones. Lunges are a great way to increase the efficiency of your workouts because of the benefits of leg strength and balance. To reduce injury and reach our weight lifting goals we must concentrate on these stabilizing groups of muscles.

Wednesday: Back

Dead Lift
Bent over Rows

When you say the word dead lifts people sometimes cringe. If you’re like most people you didn’t like them at first but once you get started and can see the results they will become the most important part of your back training. This is one of the best exercises to add to your muscle building program. Here’s a question for you. Have you ever seen a skinny power lifter? Yes these guys are big, guess what exercises they do on a daily basis? Bingo, the Dead Lift.

Bent over rows and dead lifts are all you really need to do right now to build a very impressive physique.

Thursday: Cardio Workout

This day is up to you what type of cardio you want to perform. You can ride the stationary bike. You can either do aerobics or swim. The point for including this in your muscle building program is to help burn fat and to get your wind up to be able to handle and power your muscle building program. If you don’t do this you are severely limiting your chances of success.

Be sure to take the next three days off. Make sure you give your body ample time to rest and grow. Your body gets bigger while you are resting not while you are lifting.

You may have noticed that this muscle building program doesn’t include any arm training. One reason is that doing compound exercises also workout your biceps and triceps. There is no reason at this point to do any isolation exercise. We are trying to build a big solid core of muscle and help insure our success. You will add size to your arms. I guarantee it. Keep in mind that your workouts should be no more than 30 minutes.

This muscle building program has been a great benefit for me over the years. There are other muscle building programs that work very well and you can tailor them to your specific needs. Don’t be afraid to try different things. Shock and confuse your muscles for optimum growth.

Good luck and start to learn how to increase muscle size!

Where can you buy Muscle Building Supplements?

It does not matter if you need weight lifting bodybuidling supplements for just bulking up with the supplements and exercise in equal measure, or if you want the supplements to help increase your stamina and your energy levels, there are a huge variety of different weight lifting supplements to help you whatever your needs are. The downside to there being so many weight lifting supplements available is that it can be difficult to find what it is you really need and the best one for your needs.

There are plenty of places where weight lifting supplements can be purchased, and it takes a little time and patience to find the right one for you. One particular location where they can be bought is Genesis Nutrition. This is a popular place to find weight lifting supplements. Some other products that have proven to be quite popular are super carbo charge, super sterol complex, womens amino acids, super fat burners, super yohimbe products, super creatine pryuvate complex and many other super weight gain products.

There is always A1 Nutrition Products that also stock many natural bodybuilding supplements as well as other types of supplements. How to Keep on Track when you are Body Building

Bodybuilding exercise is not just a game that you play one day and give up on another. To successfully build your body, you have to be really motivated and dedicated at the sport.  Ask any amateur or professional body builder and you will see that they are dedicated persons – focused on achieving the goal.  Why, some even have their schedules planned to the minutest detail.  Of course, we have to admit that there are times when we don't feel like working out.  Yes, everyone has days such as these.

When you feel like this, it will help for you to take a breather and sit down to sort it out.  This is a good time for you to review your goals and have another look at what first encouraged you to start becoming a body builder.  Take a good look at your motivations.  Is it for someone of the opposite sex whom you wanted to impress with a great physique?  Is it to simply get into shape and be happy with yourself?  Is it because you want to be able to join competitions and make a go of it at a more professional level?  Or, do you simply want to have a well-toned body?Go back to the time when you first started it and wanted it so badly.

When you start this sport, you should be aware that it is something that you should be prepared to do for the rest of your life. Yes, it is not something you do just because you feel like it today, and stop doing because you got tired of doing it. You should be able to embrace the lifestyle that comes with natural bodybuilding, as well as to be willing to change some aspects of your life.  It may be a challenge to keep up, but it is something that you should be fully committed to.  If you are not able to breathe, eat, sleep and keep at it for the long haul, then you should accept the fact that body building may not be the sport for you.

Review the things that first motivated you.  Is the excitement and motivation still there?  Is there something else that will motivate you to keep at it?  Whatever the motivation, whether old or new, there should be somethng that that should encourage you to continue on.  Make a review of how you were when you first started and what you have achieved so far. Now, if you can't find something to motivate you, get rid of your personal trainer and nutritionist.  Find new ones, check their credentials first.  If you still do not have a trainer and nutritionist, this may be a good time to start hiring.

Keep in mind that you are not the first to be down in the doldrums. And you will surely not be the last.  Every now and then, you will not feel like keeping it up.This is nothing to be ashamed about.  The intensity required in body building may sometimes be difficult to keep up with all the time.  Yes, you may be sometimes tempted to skimp the rigid schedule or forget it altogether.  One suggestion is for you to take a break.  Each week, set aside a day where you do not work out or be on a body building diet.  This will help you avoid being burned out.The break will surely do a lot for you, both for your mind and for your body.

Bodybuilding -- Know Your Muscle

You may want to start body building and start entering competitions, but before this you need to know your own body. Know what your limits are and what suits you best. Your body has a story to tell so you have to listen to make sure you do not end up getting injured. Your body and the way you treat it is your own responsibility, so take care of what you have been given.

Muscle building is not without its pain barriers but if you are in serious pain then damage is more than likely being done to your body. You will need to know whereabouts your major organs and muscles are, so you can have some knowledge of if damage is being done and to what. If you have a personal coach then you will be discussing these major organs and muscles quite a lot, so you need to have some degree of knowledge. Regarding pain in muscle building, you will soon come to know what is normal and what is not when you are working out. Stop immediately if you think you are doing yourself any harm or an injury has occured. Never continue and push through the pain, you could end up with an injury that cannot be repaired fully.

Take measurements of your body each week, as you will never be able to see the changes with your naked eye straight away but you will be able to tell when you measure yourself accurately. Seeing as though the changes are gradual, it is better to take the measurements every week and write them down, it will make you feel like you are really acheiving something if you can see the differences in ink. Whereas if you cannot see any change in the mirror, you may become tempted to overtrain and possibly causing yourself injury in the process. You could also take photographs and compare them bit by bit and then you will be able to see how far exactly you have come.

Have a detailed work out plan as well and write down all the exercises you do and the areas of your body that you have worked out, this way you will not overwork one area of the body and miss out on others. This will help you to avoid injury in the long run as well.

Listen to the muscle building experts, they are there to help you after all. Employ the knowledge of a good nutritionist and a personal trainer. Make sure you always seek advice from your doctor before you start a bodybuilding program so that you can make sure that everything is okay before you start body building.

Bodybuilding Myths and facts

There ar emany myths surrounding the sport of body building, just as there are in many sports. Some of the most common myths and misconceptions are as follows, hopefully this short guide will clear up a few questions that you may have about body building.

1. All body builders use steroids to become bigger than they are. This is a myth, it is true that some body builders choose to use steroids to become bigger, but not all of them do. Body building takes massive amounts of hard work. It will also requires such things like supplements and proper, healthy nutrition. You can start to build those muscles without the use of steroids, but it will take longer, and of course not taking steroids takes away the danger associated with steroids.

2. The amounf of food that body builders have to in take is massive compared to every day people. Some of this is true and some of it is false. Body builders do need to eat more that part is true, they are not just eating more though they are eating more often instead. They usually eat around six small meals, that are extremely healthy instead of the standard three.

3. The gym becomes the body builders home! Muscle builders do have to use the gym, yes. It is an extremely common misconception that body builders spend all their time in the gym. There are usually in and out of the gym in an hour, maybe less. Professional and successful body builders realise that your muscles grow while resting, not when working out, and overtraining can cause injury.

4. Follow exactly a professional body builders routine. This is definately a common mistake that many people new to body building make. Every persons body  building routine will be different and specific to that particular person. Which ever routine you follow that another person has done, may not meet your goals or wants as every persons is different.

5. You need the best and most expensive gear. While it is true that you get what you pay for, a cheap and standard set of weights will do the same thing and have the same effect on your body as the most expensive set. It is all about knowing what to do with them that is important, not how much dollars you spent on them.

There are many myths surrounding muscle building as a sport, beware of what people tell you and make sure you research fully into everything, so you will exactly whether something is a myth or a fact.

How Start Muscle Building at Home

Many people prefer to build a gym at home for many reaosns. One may be because you just prefer to work out on your own, in the comfort of your own home. Another reason could be because a professional gym facility is too far away for you to travel to, so you get more time working out and weight training at home instead of having to commute. Maybe the gym that is near you does not have the right facilities that you actually need. Whatever your reasons for building a gym at home, it could be easier than you think to have your own gym facilities at home.

You will need quite a bit of space, dependant on the equipment you will actually need. You could use your garage if you do not have a room in your house that is good for a home gym. Whatever space you decide to use for your home gym, it will need adequate ventilation. Also you will need at least one wall covered in mirrors, as this allows you to see if your form while exercising is correct or not. This is important, as if your form is incorrect, it could lead to permanent injuries.

You will need nice gym equipment, cheap equipment will break over a limited amount of use so invest wisely in your gym equipment. You will need a good set of weights too. You will need an Olympic Barbell set, adjustable dumbbells, plus a weight bench. The bench should really be an adjustable one, and it should also include a leg extension and a leg curl attachment. Having a pulldown bar attachment will be a definite plus.

You still need other equip, ment before you start. You will also need what is known as a chinup bar. Then when you have reached the more advanced stages of weight training, the dumbbells will not be enough for your needs anymore. You will need an adjustable squat rack, a dip station, and what is known as a standing calf raise machine. These types of equipment are essential in an advanced home gym.

Also use a good body building exercise ball and having a jump rope and room to use it will help your endurance training and strength. If you have all this equipment, then you are ready to start, but before that you could have some of the following to help you further. Such things as a water cooler with cups and a stereo system to provide some music to help you with your muscle building workouts, it will help you relax and will help your motivation. If you can have a small refrigerator to store some protein drinks and vegetable snacks as well.
