A Young Female Requires Therapy for Her Bipolar Condition and For Her Alcoholism and Drug Addiction
Roughly two weeks ago I heard about a twenty-seven-year-old lady named Rachael who is bipolar and who is also addicted to drugs and alcohol. I remember reading that in such situations, a person needs to get treatment for both medical conditions and that mental health problems and dependency often take place in the same individual. Furthermore, I recall reading that a history of unhealthy drinking, drug abuse, and/or mental health concerns quite often take place in the same family.
Apparently, Rachael is so dejected by both of her medical problems that she, for all intents and purposes, has little or no desire to accomplish much of anything. What is especially sad about this is that earlier in her life, Rachael managed to finish one-and-a-half years of college. Rachael’s situation makes me question if she is an illustration of an individual who has to hit life’s bottom before he or she gets alcohol and drug dependency rehabilitation that results in lasting recovery.
The Need For a Doctor She Trusts and a Rehab Protocol She Can Believe In
If I were in communication with Rachael I could recommend quite a lot of websites that could possibly help her find information about addiction and alcoholic behavior, significant substance abuse information, facts about alcoholism and drugs, and more information about addiction symptoms and alcoholism warning signs. In my humble opinion, nevertheless, Rachael needs to locate a physician she trusts and a rehab protocol she can believe in and follow over the long haul. I could be in error but it seems to me that Rachael more likely than not needs to acknowledge the fact that she cannot drink responsibly or use drugs if she wants to get sober, stay sober, and start on the path to long-lasting recovery.
I am mindful that there are more than a few recently produced doctor-prescribed medications that can help Rachael avoid an alcohol or a drug relapse, help her through the drug and alcohol detoxification process, and help her through her withdrawal symptoms. Clearly it would be in Rachael’s best interests if she became familiar with these meds.
It seems clear that Rachael needs to admit the fact that there is entirely nothing productive about hazardous and excessive drinking and drug abuse and that engaging in one or both circumstances is the road to legal problems, financial difficulties, poor work and school performance, shattered relationships, a premature death and deteriorating health.
The Importance of Support Groups Such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous
There are more likely than not numerous persons such as friends, other people, and family members who would want to help Rachael but she more likely than not would experience greater acceptance from a support group such as Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous instead of listening to individuals who drink just a few times per year or who have never used drugs.
When Individuals Do Things They Love and About Which They Are Passionate
There’s a philosophical viewpoint that states that people who do things they like and something about which they are passionate reach a fantastic place in life. Stated more specifically, when people do what they love, they almost never experience boredom or an uneventful life. If they get involved in something that is enjoyable, what is more, they become more fulfilled and experience more gratification and joy in life.
To me, this sounds quite a bit different from a life that is centered in alcohol and drug dependency because such a lifestyle removes the contentment and joy that life offers.
Because Rachael lacks the drive to carry out much of anything in her life, it is clear that she definitely needs a little bit of hope for a better life. And the unfortunate thing is that hope is almost everywhere around Rachael if she could only get to the place in life to get the therapy she needs for her manic depression and alcohol addiction and drug dependence and stick with her treatment program.
A Meaningful Life, Self Esteem, and Positive Change Are a Reality
Rachael is clearly too young to be dejected in life. She doesn’t comprehend this right now but if she can learn how to refrain from alcohol and drugs through drug and alcohol therapy and get the treatment she requires for her mental health issue, she can turn her life around and start living with self-respect, passion, and direction.
A wonderful life, self respect, and affirmative change are certainly a reality for Rachael if only she could get inspired to seek the medical treatment she requires, follow through with her therapy regimen, live her life in a healthy and drug and alcohol-free way, and cultivate a more positive attitude about life.

What I needed was to some how gain confidence.
I had a stutter you see which did make life unbearable at times. I did eventually, at the age of twenty-two, manage to achieve fluency which of course was a great relief. I had however already spent the previous eighteen years struggling to cope with a stuttering or what is also known as stammering problem that virtually destroyed my entire confidence.
What I did learn and what was eventually a catalyst to enabling me to eradicate the speech impediment was that I needed to start appreciating what I had in life. I had to stop being so hard on myself and at the same time work towards improving the areas of my life that I was not happy with.
I also had to stop stressing, panicking and worrying so much. My whole approach to life had to change; I was now going to start to think in a positive manner.

Stress Management Advice
Up until a few years ago many of my friends and family used to call me “a stress head”. Why you may well be thinking? Well quite simply because I seemingly stressed about anything and everything.
So what was the cause of all of this stress? Most of the problems were probably due to the fact that I had a stammer/stutter. This speech impediment had developed when I was at the age of four. As you may well imagine it is something that destroyed my overall confidence levels. Therapy for stuttering, at the time, was less than impressive which did not exactly help the situation.
Having a lack of confidence affected nearly all areas of my life; not just my speech. I would worry about what other people thought of me, I would stress about my height and my weight. I had a need or want, for some unknown reason, for people to like me. Looking back it all just sounds so crazy but it was like I was being controlled by some demonic force.
As I entered into my twenties I decided that enough was enough. I could no longer live in this way – there surely had to be more to life than this.
I was soon to realise that I was the only person who was going to sort my life out.
I started to work very hard at learning how to increase self-esteem for example. I also studied the ways in which the best fluent talkers were speaking in comparison to me in an attempt to eradicate the speech impediment.
Progress was far from quick however after around a year of battling against my demons I did manage to overcome the stutter and I did manage to discover ways to stop me stressing – it is all about attitude and the way we approach life – think positive and believe in yourself!
The Best Way To Eliminate Depression
Any person who has suffered with depression or who is currently suffering with depression will fully appreciate just how badly it can affect our lives. It is something that kind of creeps us on when we are least expecting it and then hits us for six. It can leave us feeling unable to complete the most simplest of tasks. The only way people can think is in the negative and the words of wisdom of people trying to help us only ever fall on deaf ears.
I suffered from a long bout of depression when I was in my teens. This was mainly due to the fact that I had a speech impediment, a stutter. This was something that virtually destroyed my self-esteem and despite my best efforts to increase confidence the stutter would always come back to bite me and ruin what ever progress I had made.
I did not want to continue living in this way, with a constant fear of stuttering, being down and depressed. The main problem however was the fact that the people who were meant to be helping me, the speech and language therapists, were forever telling me that there was not a known cure for stuttering. OK, thanks – this is exactly what I needed to hear! How was I ever supposed to break free from the cycle of depression and how was I ever supposed to start thinking positively when I had people like this destroying whatever hope that I had?
I was quite fortunate to have a superb family around me who eventually were able to drag me from the abyss. They convinced me to fight against this tide of negativity and to believe in myself. There was only one way to think and that was in a positive manner. There was no way that I was going to listen to the rubbish that these so called speech therapists were telling me. I also had to start working hard to enable this day to become a reality.
My dad once stated:
“There is no time for depression; you have too much work to do – to eradicate the stutter and to learn how to increase your overall confidence levels”.
It was far from easy however I did manage to break free from the depression and at the age of twenty-two I also managed to overcome the speech impediment.

Build Your Self Esteem With Hypnosis
When you’re facing problems in your life, hypnosis can be a useful tool to help you deal with them. A positive subconscious thought will be able to take control of the situation you’re facing. People frequently use hypnosis to quit smoking or lose weight. But it can also be used to improve your self-esteem and build your confidence.
Hypnosis puts a subliminal suggestion into your mind to change the way you deal with certain situations. However, this isn’t a fast track solution to addressing your problems. It’s not as easy as learning some self hypnosis techniques from a website that will instantly erase your problems. You need to be aware of the subliminal cues your mind is giving you and put them into practice.
Hypnosis helps you clear your mind of negative thoughts and memories that hinder your ability to feel good about yourself. A hypnosis session will place you into a relaxed, trance-like state. Then new thought patterns can be introduced into your subconscious mind.
When you visit a trained hypnotherapist, the first order of business will be to discover your underlying issues. The hypnotherapist will have to ascertain that you are able to be hypnotized. You’ll sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Now train your thoughts completely on the hypnotherapist.
He’ll try to figure out the cause of your specific issues. Then he will plant some helpful suggestions in your mind. And then the hypnotherapist will bring you completely awake. You should see some results the next time you experience a situation that normally causes you difficulty.
But things won’t immediately be perfect. You’ll probably have to come back for a few more sessions. It’s also possible to learn hypnosis techniques and implement them by yourself.
Is everyone able to be hypnotized? Each person is different. Studies indicate that if you’re open to the procedure, you should be able to be hypnotized. Those who aren’t receptive will usually find it doesn’t work for them. It’s hard to become relaxed enough if you’re doubtful of the effectiveness of this procedure.
Most of us experience negative emotions that affect our self esteem. Perhaps, though, all that’s required is that you get rid of your demeaning thoughts about yourself. Be fair to yourself and objective about your good qualities. This can take away the anxiety you feel when you believe you’re not good enough or smart enough.
By using hypnosis, you can make room for positive thoughts to dominate your mind. This will pave the way to a more confident and optimistic outlook on life.
Your Life and The Law Of Attraction
According to the law of attraction, our thoughts become real, so whatever we are thinking about now, will eventuate sooner or later. The law of attraction makes it possible for your thoughts to become real and eventually materialize those thoughts into your life.
Naturally there are many people who are sceptical about the validity of this concept, and why wouldn’t they be, negative thoughts bring negative conotations. In fact, several scientific studies have been conducted dedicated to the discovery of a real connection between the law of attraction and the quality of life that people have in general.
People’s thoughts, emotions and decisions are usually affected by the kind of social environment that the person is living in. While it’s true that cold hard facts are sometimes used to settle a mental conflict or to provide a solution to a problem, most of the decision-making process relies on the intuition and attitude of the person in question.
Law Of Attraction and Your Body
For example, a typically shy individual can greatly boost his self-esteem by making use of the law of attraction, and trying to draw more confidence into his personality. As long as you think that you are a confident individual, your mind will eventually take this as a fact, and make your body act in accordance to this new idea.
The law of attraction is capable of so much more than simply making some personality tweaks to individuals. The law of attraction is always working, not just for individual situations but even to the extent of making changes to the entire human race.
Typically, people are drawn to other people who have awesome personalities or have had great success in their lives. However, there are also some people who can easily be influenced by the negative factors that surround them in their daily lives.
As you can see, you can completely control the way that the law of attraction can work for you. If you want to have a successful life, you should alter the way you think and fill your mind with thoughts of happiness and success. Eventually, you will be able to enjoy the success when it becomes a real part of your life. Incorporate the law of attraction steps into your life.
